The build-up to the CPL Winter 2006 Finalshas brought a lot of excitement and buzz this December. However, along with that has come with some shocking news. The CPL have announced that as from next year's events they will start drug testing the participating gamers.

In 2007, the CPL's terms and conditions will include a new provisionallowing the CPL to test participating players for drugs. "Thepotential for [drugs] being an issue absolutely concerns me," Munozsays. "It should concern anybody in eSports, because as the stakes getlarger, as in any sport, people will look for an edge."

This perhaps comes as a shock to some who would never have though gaming would reach such a high and competitive level. The question really is, what drugs can any gamer take that can boost their performance levels in-game?
